Tact
has launched a community-driven Room Correction
database project
The lastest verion of RCS 2.2 XP software has
a Generate/Send report feature.
With this feature, all Tact-2.2 XP users will
now be able to generate and send report files
that contain information regarding their particular
loudspeaker setup. This information will help
Tact generate a database containing measurements,
crossover filters, and target curves for various
types of loudspeaker systems. Once generated,
this data will be presented on the Tact Audio
web site in a fully searchable manner.
Why
Should I Send A Report?
By submitting a report containing your system
data and target curve, you will be contributing
to a growing, open-source resoruce of room correction
data. The collected data is intended to enhance
the experience of you, the end-user. The database
will be searchable by speaker-type and will feature
room-specific information.
Tact
Audio is in beta development of a new automatic
room-correction algorithm. The data submitted
will also be used by us in our ongoing development
and testing of the new algorithm.
By
contributing to the community database, you will
be making an invaluable contribution to the room
correction community. Your contribution will incourage
others to contribute, and in the end, we will
all benefit from an ongoing collaberation between
the community and the team at Tact Audio.
Submitted database entries wil not contain
any of the personal information that you may have
supplied with the report file or with the on-line
product registration. The database will contain
information regarding your loudspeaker system
only.
