Cross
talk cancellation (XTC) feature is accessed
through the XTC menu option located on the
Main Menu screen.
Highlight
XTC menu option and then click ENTER button
to display the XTC menu screen.

Use
this screen to set Tact-2.2 XP cross talk
cancellation algorithm.
Use
this option to turn cross-talk feature
ON and OFF. When OFF is selected 2.2 XP
operates in the normal mode. When ON is
selected 2.2 XP will engage a cross-talk
algorithm as selected in 2. To switch
the cross-talk algorithm ON and OFF click
on ENTER button.
Use
this option to select cross-talk algorithm.
Tact-2.2 XP comes with two sets of algorithms
labeled as A-1, A-2, A-3, A-4, A-5 and
B-1, B-2, B-3, B-4, B-5. To scroll through
all available options use UP/DOWN remote
control buttons. To select an algorithm
place the cursor over this option and
then click on ENTER button. Selected algorithm
will be displayed with a '*' next
to it.
The
delay time parameter is used by the algorithm
to compensate for the time difference
it takes the sound to travel from the
left loudspeaker to the right ear and
to the left ear. The algorithm assumes
that this time difference is the same
for both left and right channels. Typical
value for this parameter is 0.10 msec.
Spread
factor can be set anywhere between 0 and
100. It is used to calculate the left
and right channel separation width. Typical
value for this parameter is around 70-75.
